It has been quite a few months since my last posting. During this time, we’ve been going through some major structural changes to realign our organization for the next phase of growth.
I’m very pleased to announce that we have brought in Mark McHale to be our National Sales Director starting on August 5, 2013 (click here for the press release).
Mark brings with him a proven track record of building profitable sales and marketing businesses. After 14 years representing Mariani Packing, a national leading dried-fruit company based in California, as Business Manager for the Northeast, Mark joined Mann Packing in 2009 and spent the last four years playing a pivotal role in growing Mann’s business as Regional Sales Manager – East.
I’m thrilled to have Mark joining Crispy Green at this time. He will bring tremendous experience and leadership to the company and help propel Crispy Green to the next level.
With Mark onboard, we have further anchored our strategy of growing our business through the produce segment of the market, which has been the fastest growing segment of all supermarket business.
Another important strategic decision we made earlier this year was to discontinue our FruitziO line of products so we can put more focus on our original Crispy Fruit line. This was not an easy decision for me at an emotional level. However, as a business leader, I have to learn to not let my emotions interfere with my decision-making. I need to do what’s right for the business, which I did.
I know that some of you out there are missing the loss of FruitziO; you are not alone…
