Spring is finally here! Like many of you, this spring can’t come soon enough for me. Even 
though the temperature is still rather low for this time of the year, the longer days and the budding daffodils in my yard make me cheerful. Don’t get me wrong, I love the winter. Winter accents the seasons and gives life rhythm. Without that, life would be a bit boring. Not to mention that the heavy snows this year did give us some excellent skiing conditions locally, which was delightful for a “lazy” recreational skier like me. (I have no desire to drive hours and fight the traffic for just a weekend ski trip.)
2014 has been a good year for Crispy Green so far. After some major reshuffling in 2013, we now have put together one of the best teams of people working in and supporting the business. I am very grateful for and proud of each one of them. With this strong team in place, I am able to refocus my attention on longer-term strategic issues and on growing the business.
Recently, I was named by the Griffin Report as one of 2014 Women of Influence in the Food Industry (www.foodindustrywomen.com). This is a tremendous honor for me personally, as well as a great endorsement of Crispy Green and the type of business we stand for.
As I wrote in my previous blogs, I started Crispy Green because of my passion for healthy eating. I was lucky enough to be able to turn my passion into a successful business largely, I believe, because we have held close to our commitment: bringing the best quality and tasty products to our consumers using only the best natural ingredients. That commitment has manifested in every aspect of our business, and I am very glad that our customers continue to respond to our commitment with enthusiastic support.
As we continually strive for the highest quality products, we have some very exciting projects that reflect this commitment and are near completion. I can give you a hint….we’ll be announcing a new product certification AND you’ll soon see some very interesting changes on our website! But, you’ll have to stay tuned to find out….
