“The blockbuster ingredients, tasty tech, and edible inspiration we’re stocking our kitchens with.”
February 25, 2016 – The latest fruit- and veggie-based packaged snacks boast short ingredients lists, minimal processing, and serious nutritional cred – such a fantastic alternative to the usual empty-calorie vending machine fare. From addictive onion chips to crunchy broccoli to delectably moist dried fruit, the next generation of healthy nibbles has us wowed.
Crispy Fruit was featured on FOX 46 Charlotte this December as a great last-minute gift just in time for the holidays. Alexa Curtis, blogger of Life in the Fashion Lane, said that Crispy Fruit makes for a great stocking stuffer and is easy to find in major grocery stores such as Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods and on the internet.
December 9, 2015 – These freeze dried snacks are satisfying, have a soft crunch and nothing is added. Just naturally occurring sugars from the fruit. There is a light pear flavor, not as much as I’d like. One bag is forty satisfying calories with 7 grams of naturally occurring sugars. Gluten Free, of course. Imported from China.

The 2015 Power Your Lunchbox Pledge by Produce for Kids
This year, our team at Crispy Green became a proud sponsor of the annual Power Your Lunchbox program by Produce for Kids. The campaign ran right in the heart of the back to school season – from August 3rd to September 18th of this year – and promoted the importance of packing healthy, balanced school lunches. Over 10,000 parents, families and classrooms took the pledge to pack a healthier lunch over the course of the campaign at poweryourlunchbox.com.
Lunch is important to power kids through their school day, explains Dr. Kurt Hong of the Center for Human Nutrition and director of Huntington Medical Foundation.
He recommends combining complex carbohydrates with lean protein — nonfat yogurt and granola, a lean turkey sandwich on whole grain bread, low-fat cottage cheese with fruits and vegetables — for a concentrated, long-lasting source of energy (consider Crispy Fruit from Crispy Green when fresh fruit is not available or a convenient option).
Just in time for the back-to-school season, Matt Rogers of Home & Family on the Hallmark Channel gave Crispy Fruit the thumbs up as a great snack that the whole family can enjoy. Check out the clip below and see why he deemed our snacks “Daddy Approved!”

“Crispy Green in Fairfield–maker of unique freeze-dried fruit snacks–is partnering with the Power Your Lunchbox campaign to encourage parents to pack healthy and nutritious lunches for their kids as they head back to school next month.
‘Now through September 18th, the campaign asks parents to “take the pledge” to fill lunchboxes with healthy and nutritious food. The Power Your Lunchbox website offers ideas, tips and coupons. For every pledge, the sponsor, Produce for Kids, will donate $1 to Feeding America to support children’s hunger programs.'”
Packing a balanced lunch with healthy snacks that kids actually like to eat is a common struggle all parents are faced with each back-to-school season.
